Barranquilla will host a new edition of VIMO and Construferia
- Barranquilla will host VIMO, the Caribbean real estate showcase, the largest platform for opportunities and advice on home purchases or financing, and Construferia del Caribe, the main specialized and professional fair for the construction sector in the Colombian Caribbean, which will take place in parallel this year, further promoting the reactivation of the entire value chain of this industry in the department.
- Puerta de Oro, Caribbean Events Center, will be hosting from June 21 to 23 those interested in learning about the best housing options and safe investment projects; and from June 20 to 23, those who decide to learn about the latest developments and trends in materials, tools and supplies for construction.
- Both VIMO in its eighth version and CONSTRUFERIA in its fourth edition, are consolidated as high-impact spaces for the economy and development of the Caribbean, offering clear alternatives for competitive business and investment that enrich all the actors in the chain.
Barranquilla, May 2024. From June 20 to 23, Barranquilla, one of the cities with the greatest projection in the country, will be the host for all the actors of the real estate sector and professionals in the construction industry. At Puerta de Oro, the Caribbean Events Center, CONSTRUFERIA 2024, the main specialized and professional fair in the Colombian Caribbean, will take place simultaneously from June 20 to 22, and VIMO, the Caribbean real estate showcase, from June 21 to 23.
According to the figures from the consumer opinion survey conducted by Fedesarrollo in April 2024, this city is ranked as the second main city in the country with the lowest slowdown in the willingness to buy new homes, which means that consumer confidence in this area persists compared to other major cities.
For Laura Restrepo, manager of Camacol Atlántico, "This positive disposition is due to a real estate market that promises a varied offer of projects, with high quality standards, competitive prices and strategic location. Likewise, it is worth noting that new housing sales in stratum 4 represented a greater number of units sold in the first quarter of the year with 394 sales, thus achieving a growth of 1.8%, compared to the same period in 2023. For its part, the best percentage growth performance was had by stratum 6 with 24.4% translated into 97 units sold."

For three days, this specialised venue will have innovation zones to showcase technological and sustainable products and services that add great value to the construction sector. It will also feature trade shows and specialised lounges, networking spaces, forums for the exchange of knowledge and a support area for micro-entrepreneurs.
Camacol Atlántico and Corferias join forces once again as promoters of the local and national economy, creating and giving continuity to these specialized platforms to stimulate and transform processes in the construction market and the real estate sector, for which a massive attendance is expected that will exceed the figures of previous editions.
